Last Updated: May 25, 2026
Introduction
Welcome to Gallery Mode and the products and
services we provide. We understand the importance of personal information and
value the trust you place in us. We comply with applicable laws and regulations
and adopt appropriate security measures to protect your personal information.
This Gallery Mode Privacy Policy (the "Policy" or "Privacy
Policy") explains how we collect, use, share, store, and protect your
personal information when you use our products and services, and how you may
manage your personal information so that you can make informed choices.
Before using our
products and services, please read this Policy carefully and make sure you
fully understand it, especially the clauses marked in bold. You should begin
using the products and services only after you have fully understood and agreed
to this Policy. If you have any questions, suggestions, or comments regarding
this Policy, you may contact us using the contact details provided at the end
of this Policy.
By accepting this Privacy Policy, you
acknowledge that you understand the functions provided by the App and the rules
governing the processing of personal information in connection with those
functions. You also agree that, when you actively use a particular feature, we
may process the personal information necessary to provide that feature. This
does not mean that you have separately consented to optional features or to the
processing of non-essential personal information. Where optional features are
enabled, or where non-essential or sensitive personal information will be
processed, we will provide separate notice and obtain your consent based on
your actual use.
To provide services such as ad display, ad
measurement, ad safety, and privacy consent management, this App may integrate
third-party advertising services, including Google AdMob. In regions where
applicable laws or relevant platform rules require it, such as the European
Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and certain U.S. states, we
will present relevant notices through consent prompts or privacy options and
allow you to manage your advertising privacy choices.
This Policy will help you understand the
following:

Sharing, Transfer, and Public Disclosure of Your Personal Information
3.
Protection of Your Personal Information
4.
Your Rights
5.

1. Collection
and Use of Your Personal Information
Personal information means various types of
information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person that are
recorded electronically or by other means, excluding information that has been
anonymized.
For the purposes described in this Policy, we
will collect and use your personal information when you use the corresponding
product features. If we intend to use information for a purpose not described
in this Policy, or to use information collected for a specific purpose for a
different purpose, we will obtain your consent in advance.
1.1 Collection and Use with Your Consent
1.1.1 Device Connection and Device
Discovery
When
you use features such as adding a device, discovering devices on a local
network, or connecting a mobile device (such as your phone) to the TV over a
local network, we need to identify and connect the relevant devices within that
local network environment. For this purpose, we may process device names, WLAN
access point information, IP addresses, network status information, and device
identifiers necessary for local-network and DLNA-type device discovery and
connection. This enables us to discover available devices, display device
names, and complete the connection. Unless otherwise described for a specific
feature, we will not use information collected in this scenario for purposes
unrelated to gallery display.
1.1.2
Advertising and Privacy Consent Management
To provide services such as ad display, ad
measurement, ad safety, frequency control, fraud and abuse prevention, service
optimization, and, where you have consented, personalized advertising, this App
may integrate Google AdMob advertising services and related components. Google
AdMob may process information related to advertising services based on your
device, your use of the App, your region, your device settings, and your
privacy choices.
The foregoing information may include device
information, advertising identifiers, IP addresses, approximate location
information, app information, ad display and interaction data, diagnostic
information, and technical information related to ad requests. The specific
types of data processed may vary depending on your device type, system version,
region, app version, ad configuration, and the privacy choices you make.
In regions where applicable laws or relevant
platform rules require it, such as the European Economic Area, the United
Kingdom, Switzerland, and certain U.S. states, we use Google's User Messaging
Platform (UMP) to present privacy consent messages or privacy options. This
allows you to manage your preferences regarding personalized advertising,
advertising-related data processing, and related privacy choices. You may
consent, decline, or otherwise manage your advertising privacy preferences. If
you do not consent to personalized advertising, this App may still display
non-personalized or limited ads to the extent permitted by applicable law and
platform rules, although those ads may be less relevant.
Because Google LLC, its affiliates, and other
third-party service providers may process, transfer, or store data related to
advertising services outside your country or region through their global
service infrastructure, the storage location, retention period, deletion
mechanisms, and related rights you may exercise with respect to such data are
generally governed by the privacy policies, product terms, and applicable laws
of those third parties.
You may review this Privacy Policy through the
privacy-related settings entry in the App. Where applicable laws or relevant
platform rules require it and the App displays a privacy choices entry, you may
reopen the advertising privacy options page through that settings entry or
through an in-app "Privacy Choices," "Privacy Selection,"
or similar entry, and review or change your advertising privacy choices. If a
particular page does not directly display such an entry, you may contact us
using the contact details set out in Section 8 of this Policy.
1.1.3 Google Photos Connection and Media
Processing
When you use the Google Photos feature, we will
guide you to open a link or scan a QR code on your phone or computer to connect
your Google account. You may independently choose which photos or videos this
App may access and display. To provide this feature, we may process your Google
Photos account connection status, information about the photos or videos you
select for display, necessary metadata related to display or download, and the
network request and diagnostic information required for the operation of the
feature.
To facilitate browsing, slideshow playback, and
display of selected content on the TV, we may store locally on the device the
necessary account connection status, information about photo or video lists,
cached thumbnails, and downloaded media data. You may disconnect your Google
Photos account and clear local data through the relevant settings entry within
the App. After you do so, we will clear the local account connection status,
cached data, and downloaded media data related to this feature, but we will not
delete the original photos and videos in your Google Photos cloud account.
1.1.4 AI Image Generation and Voice Input
When you use the AI image generation feature,
you may enter prompts by keyboard or generate prompts through voice input. If
you choose voice input, the App will request microphone access and process your
voice content through the device system's speech recognition service. Depending
on the device system, speech service provider, and network environment, the
relevant voice content may be recognized and processed locally on the TV or in
the cloud by the corresponding speech service provider. The App receives the
recognized text, populates the input field with it, and, after your
confirmation, uses it as the prompt for AI image generation.
When you confirm an AI image generation request,
the current text-to-image feature will send the prompts you enter or confirm,
generation parameters such as image size, and the technical information
necessary to provide the service to our servers and the connected AI image
generation service in order to generate image results. After the image is
generated, it will be returned to the App and downloaded to local device
storage for your browsing, display, or management. Under the current service
arrangements, the foregoing prompts and generation parameters are used only to
complete the current AI generation request and are not retained as ongoing user
prompt content or used for long-term cloud storage or backup; however, the
relevant service providers may undertake short-term technical handling or
retention where necessary to ensure secure and stable service operation,
troubleshoot failures, or comply with legal requirements.
When you use AI outpainting, image-to-image, or
other features that require uploading original images for AI processing, the
App will upload the images you actively select to our servers and the connected
AI image processing services in order to complete outpainting, editing, or
generation tasks. After processing is completed, the resulting image will be
returned to the App and downloaded to local device storage. Under the current
service arrangements, the original images that you actively upload for AI
outpainting or related AI image processing features are used only to complete
the current processing and are not used for long-term cloud storage or backup;
however, the relevant service providers may undertake short-term technical
handling or retention where necessary to ensure secure and stable service
operation, troubleshoot failures, or comply with legal requirements.
1.1.5 Photo Uploads and Local Network
Transmission
When you use phone casting, the companion mobile
application MHelper, or other upload methods within the same local network to
transfer photos to the TV, the App will establish a photo upload or reception
service within the same Wi-Fi or local network environment. For this purpose,
we may process device IP addresses, network status information, local network
device identifiers, the photo files you choose to upload, file names, and other
technical information necessary to complete the transfer.
As currently implemented, in this scenario
photos are generally transmitted directly between your mobile device and the TV
over the local network. Photos uploaded to the TV are stored locally on the
device and may be used for display features such as Family Album and Life
Moments. We recommend that you use this feature only in a trusted local network
or Wi-Fi environment to reduce security risks during transmission. Unless you
separately choose to use another cloud-based feature, this feature is not
designed to upload such photos to our cloud servers.
1.1.6 Analytics, Performance Monitoring,
and Crash Diagnostics
To
analyze feature usage, assess feature effectiveness, improve the product experience,
monitor App stability, and troubleshoot failures, the current version of this
App uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. Depending on the version,
build configuration, or service plan, it may also use analytics services
provided by third parties such as Umeng in accordance with applicable law. For
these purposes, the relevant services may process App instance identifiers,
device information, App version information, App usage events, performance and
diagnostic information, crash stack information, exception messages, and other
technical information necessary for service operation. The specific services
used depend on the App version, build configuration, and service plan
associated with the version you use.
1.1.7 Other Features
If any feature, product, or service that
requires the collection of your personal information is not described in this
Policy, or if we process your personal information beyond the stated purpose or
any directly related or reasonably associated scope, we will provide additional
notice and obtain your consent in accordance with applicable laws and
regulations.
Please note the following:
a. Because the products and services we provide may vary by TV model and
version, the types and scope of personal information collected and used in a
particular scenario may also vary. Please refer to the specific product or
service feature you actually use.
b. When you actively use a particular product feature, you agree that we
may collect and use the relevant personal information to the extent necessary
to provide that feature. For processing activities that require separate
consent by law or require you to make a choice, we will separately notify you
and obtain your consent in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and
relevant platform rules.
1.2 Collection and Use Without Your Consent
Under applicable laws, regulations, and national
standards, we may collect and use
relevant personal information without your consent in the following
circumstances:
(1) Where it relates to national security or national defense security;
(2) Where it relates to public safety, public health, or major public
interests, for example, where necessary to respond to a public health
emergency, or in emergency circumstances to protect the life, health, or
property safety of a natural person;
(3) Where it relates to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial, or
enforcement of judgments;
(4) Where it is necessary to protect the significant legitimate rights
and interests relating to your or another individual's life or property, but
obtaining your consent is difficult;
(5) Where the personal information collected has been independently
disclosed to the public by you or your guardian;
(6) Where your personal information is collected from lawfully disclosed
information, such as lawful news reports or government information disclosure
channels;
(7) Where it is necessary for concluding or performing a contract to
which you are a party;
(8) Where it is necessary to maintain the secure and stable operation of
the products and/or services provided, such as identifying or handling failures
of the products and/or services;
(9) Where personal information is processed within a reasonable scope for
news reporting or public opinion supervision for the public interest;
(10) Other circumstances where it is necessary to perform duties or
obligations under laws and regulations, or other circumstances provided for by
laws and regulations.

3. Protection
of Your Personal Information
(1) We have
adopted industry-standard security measures to protect the personal information
you provide and to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, use, modification,
damage, or loss. We will take all reasonable and practicable steps to protect
your personal information. For example, we use trusted security mechanisms to
guard against malicious attacks; we deploy access controls to ensure that only
authorized personnel can access personal information; and we provide security
and privacy training to strengthen employees' awareness of the importance of
protecting personal information.
(2) Except as
otherwise provided in this Policy, we will not provide, sell, rent, share, or
otherwise disclose your personal information to any unrelated third party
without your prior consent, unless that third party and we (including our
affiliates) provide services to you separately or jointly. In such a case, once
the relevant service is completed, the third party will no longer be permitted
to access the relevant information.
(3) Except as
otherwise provided in this Policy, we do not permit any third party to collect,
compile, sell, or unlawfully disseminate your personal information by any
means. If any user engages in such activities, we will immediately suspend or
terminate the relevant services provided to that user upon discovery.
(4)
Notwithstanding the foregoing security measures, please note that no data
transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure. If
our physical, technical, or administrative safeguards are unfortunately
compromised, we will promptly activate our emergency response plan to prevent
the incident from escalating and report the matter to the competent authorities
as required by applicable laws and regulations. We will also notify you in a
reasonable and effective manner, such as by push notification or public
announcement, of the types of personal information that have been or may have
been disclosed, altered, or lost, the reasons for the incident, the potential
impact, the measures we have taken or will take, recommendations you may adopt
to prevent or reduce risks, the remedies available to you, and our contact
details. Where permitted by applicable laws and regulations, we may elect not
to notify you if the measures we take can effectively avoid harm arising from
disclosure, alteration, or loss of information; however, if a regulatory
authority determines that harm may arise and requires us to notify you, we will
do so in accordance with that requirement.
4. Your
Rights
In accordance with applicable laws, regulations,
standards, and common practices in other jurisdictions, we will protect your ability to exercise the following rights in respect
of your personal information:
4.1 Access and Correction of Your Personal Information
(1) You have
the right to access and correct your personal information, except where
otherwise provided by applicable laws and regulations;
(2) If you are
unable to access the personal information you wish to access, or unable to
correct your personal information, you may contact us using the contact details
set forth in Section 8 of this Policy.
4.2 Deletion of Your Personal Information
In the following
circumstances, you may request that we delete your personal information:
(1) If the purpose for which we process your personal information has
been achieved, cannot be achieved, or is no longer necessary for that purpose;
(2) If we stop providing products or services, or the retention period
has expired;
(3) If we process your personal information based on your consent and you
withdraw that consent;
(4) If our processing of your personal information violates laws,
administrative regulations, or our agreement with you;
(5) If you no longer use our products or services, or you have proactively
closed your account;
(6) If we no longer provide products or services to you.
If we decide to grant your deletion request, we
will also notify entities that received your personal information from us and
require them to delete it promptly, unless otherwise required by applicable law
or unless those entities have obtained your separate consent. After you delete
information from our services, we may not immediately delete the corresponding
information from backup systems. We will delete such information when those
backup systems are updated. Please understand that, where the statutory
retention period has not expired or deletion of personal information is
technically difficult, we will stop processing such information other than
storing it and taking necessary security protection measures, as required by
applicable laws and regulations.
4.3 Changes to or Withdrawal of Your Consent
You may change the scope of your consent or
withdraw it by updating or deleting relevant information, adjusting privacy
settings, enabling or disabling relevant device functions, or contacting us in
the manner set out in Section 8 of this Policy.
Where applicable laws or relevant platform rules
require it and this App displays the relevant entry, you may review or modify your
preferences regarding personalized advertising, advertising-related data
processing, or related privacy matters through the privacy-related settings
entry in the App or through an in-app "Privacy Choices,"
"Privacy Selection," or similar entry. After you update your
preferences, we will adjust subsequent ad requests and ad display behavior
based on your latest choice and the processing rules of services such as Google
AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP).
For Google Photos account connection, you may
disconnect your account and clear local data through the relevant Google Photos
settings entry within the App. After you do so, we will delete or clear the
local account connection status, cached thumbnails, downloaded media data, and
related records associated with the Google Photos feature, but we will not
delete the original photos and videos in your Google Photos cloud account.
Please
note that certain products or services require the collection of necessary
personal information in order to function. If you withdraw your consent, we
will no longer be able to provide the corresponding product or service to the
extent that such consent is necessary. This will not affect personal
information processing already carried out on the basis of your prior consent.
If you withdraw or refuse consent relating to personalized advertising, this
App may still display non-personalized or limited ads to the extent permitted
by applicable law and relevant platform rules. If ads cannot lawfully be requested
based on your privacy choices or regulatory requirements, we will not request
or display the relevant ads.
4.4 Right to Request an Explanation
You have the right to request an explanation of
the rules governing the processing of your personal information. You may
contact us using the contact details provided in Section 8.
4.5 Automated Decision-Making
Core features of this App, such as image
display, playback, Google Photos browsing, and local-network phone photo
uploads, generally do not rely solely on automated decision-making in a manner
that would have a significant impact on your rights and interests. In scenarios
such as AI image generation, AI outpainting, and service security and
reliability, we may carry out automated processing based on information
systems, algorithms, or models. If such processing has a significant impact on
your rights and interests, you may contact us using the contact details set out
in Section 8 to request an explanation, and we will protect your relevant
rights in accordance with applicable law.
4.6 Response to Your Requests
To ensure security, you may need to provide a
written request or otherwise prove your identity. We may first require you to
verify your identity before processing your request.
Once we have sufficient information to confirm
that your request can be processed, we will respond within 15 business days. In
principle, we do not charge a fee for reasonable requests. However, for
repeated requests or requests that exceed reasonable limits, we may charge a
reasonable fee where appropriate. We may refuse requests that are manifestly
unfounded or repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort (for
example, developing a new system or fundamentally changing existing practices),
pose risks to the legitimate rights and interests of others, or are highly
impracticable (for example, where the requested information is stored on backup
tapes).
In the following
circumstances, we will be unable to respond to your request:
(1) Where it is related to our performance of obligations imposed by laws
and regulations;
(2) Where it is directly related to national security or national defense
security;
(3) Where it is directly related to public safety, public health, or
major public interests;
(4) Where it is directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution,
trial, or enforcement of judgments;
(5) Where we have sufficient evidence to show that you are acting in bad
faith or abusing your rights (for example, where your request would endanger
public safety or the legitimate rights and interests of others, or where your
request exceeds what can reasonably be addressed through ordinary technical
means and reasonable commercial cost);
(6) Where it is necessary to protect the significant legitimate rights
and interests relating to your or another individual's life or property, but
obtaining consent is difficult;
(7) Where responding to your request would seriously damage the
legitimate rights and interests of you, another individual, or an organization.
5. Personal
Information of Minors
(1) This App is
primarily intended for general users and is not specifically directed to
children. We take the protection of minors' personal information seriously.
This App does not currently identify users' ages or implement automatic age
verification or guardian-consent verification mechanisms. If you are a minor,
please read this Policy carefully under the guidance of your parent or other
legal guardian, and use our services or provide information to us only after
obtaining the consent of your parent or other legal guardian. Where applicable
laws or regulations require guardian consent, that consent must be provided by
your parent or other legal guardian.
(2) Where
children's personal information is collected with the consent of a parent or
other legal guardian in connection with the child's use of our products or
services, we will use, share, transfer, or disclose such information only where permitted by applicable law, where we have the
explicit consent of the parent or legal guardian, or where necessary to protect
minors.
(3) If you are
the parent or other legal guardian of a child, please monitor whether the child
in your care is using our services with your consent. If you have any questions
about the personal information of the child in your care, please contact us
using the contact details provided in Section 8.
6. Retention
and Storage of Your Personal Information
6.1 We
retain the information and materials we collect about you only for as long as
necessary to achieve the purposes described in this Policy. After the
applicable retention period expires, we will delete or anonymize your personal
information unless we are otherwise required or permitted to retain it under
applicable laws, regulations, or binding governmental requirements, or unless
retention is necessary to satisfy our compliance obligations. In determining
the retention period for personal information, we primarily consider the
following criteria, and the longest applicable period will apply:
(1) To complete
transactions related to you, maintain corresponding transaction and business
records, and respond to inquiries or complaints you may make;
(2) To ensure
the security and quality of the services we provide to you;
(3) Where you
consent to a longer retention period for your personal information;
(4) Where laws
and regulations provide other special provisions on retention periods.
6.2 For
information processed by third-party service providers or relevant system
services, the storage location, retention period, and deletion rules may be
governed by the privacy policies, service rules, and applicable laws and
regulations of the relevant third party or system service provider. The current
version of this App uses Firebase Analytics for analytics functions. Depending
on the version, build configuration, or service plan, analytics services such
as Umeng may also be used. For information on how Google processes and stores
information related to advertising services, analytics, crash diagnostics, and
Google Photos-related services, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy,
Firebase Privacy and Security documentation, Google Ads Technologies
documentation, and the descriptions of the relevant services. For information
on how Umeng processes and stores analytics-related information, please refer
to the Umeng Privacy Policy. For information processed by relevant AI image
generation services in connection with the AI art feature, including prompts,
generation parameters, links to generated results, and original images that you
actively upload for AI outpainting or other AI image processing features,
please refer to the privacy policies and service rules of the relevant service
providers or system services. Under the current service arrangements, the
foregoing prompts and original images that you actively upload for AI
processing are used only to complete the current request and are not used for
long-term cloud storage or backup. However, the relevant service providers may
undertake short-term technical handling or retention where necessary to ensure
secure and stable service operation, troubleshoot failures, or comply with
legal requirements. For voice content that may be processed by the device
system's speech recognition service, please refer to the privacy policies and
service rules of the relevant system service or service provider. For local
data stored by the Google Photos feature, such as account connection status,
cached thumbnails, or downloaded media data, as well as photos uploaded from a
phone to the TV over the local network and generated results downloaded locally
from AI art or AI outpainting, we will delete or clear local data under the
App's control when you delete the relevant content, disconnect the relevant
account and clear data, or when such data is no longer necessary for the
foregoing purposes.
